Proven Track Record of Generating Funding for New Technology
Alan Dillingham has built a proven track record when it comes to creating federal funding for innovative technology companies based on years of experience as an associate staff member to the powerful House Appropriations Committee and as a government relations consultant. Specifically, his efforts have led directly to significant funding for the following:
- Seismic research program to detect clandestine nuclear weapons testing;
- Counter-proliferation analysis and planning system developed for special forces and regional combatant commanders at a national laboratory;
- Adaptation of critical technologies from the cancelled Crusader artillery program to the Army’s Future Combat Systems program;
- Supercomputing operations, hardware and technology to maintain U.S. competitiveness in a critical national security technology;
- Revolutionary hardware encryption technology that provides greater data security;
- Research for hardened micro-electronics to protect U.S. space-based assets;
- Telemedicine program that saves the lives of U.S. military service members by treating them faster at the point of injury;
- Roadway simulator to improve the safety and efficiency of the Army’s vehicle fleet;
- Desalination equipment for Navy lifeboats to protect the lives of US sailors;
- Computerized patient record system to increase the efficiency of military healthcare.
Alan served as a senior policy advisor to Congressman Martin Sabo, a former member of both the House Defense and Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittees. During his time on Capitol Hill, Dillingham developed in-depth knowledge of the Department of Defense and Homeland Security policies, budgets and programs. He understands the barriers that confront companies seeking federal funding for new technologies – and knows how to overcome those obstacles. His extensive network of contacts and relationships makes a key difference for Alchemy clients.
Prior to working on Capitol Hill, he served on the faculty at William & Mary, George Washington University and Villanova University and holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Georgetown University.
